Meet Osmar, Auxo’s Engineering Lead, and one of the major faces behind our software. He heads up the team responsible for building Auxo Workshop and other applications. Osmar’s role involves making sure the dev team are following the plan, delivering things that are on time and following best practice. As a member of the leadership team here at Auxo he also helps plan and shape our vision for the future.

A typical day for Osmar includes strategic meetings and future planning, as well as checking in on all the current projects the team are working on. A real problem solver, Osmar is there to work through any roadblocks and make sure the team has everything they need to get the job done.

One of the biggest projects Osmar has worked on in his 2.5 years here at Auxo, is the development of a brand-new product you’ve probably already heard of: Auxo Workshop! It was no small task and, after a year in the making, Osmar was delighted to see the fruits of his team’s labour come to life in the alpha and beta trials earlier this year, and the official launch of Auxo Workshop in August.

Outside of work, Osmar likes to keep active playing futsal. He is currently playing in a team at Kohimarama with his friends, but he’s also played in tournaments like the Futsal National League and the NZ Masters Games. Also, a big fan of a good outing with friends, Osmar likes to explore the pubs and restaurants of Auckland.

When we asked Osmar what his dream car would be, he said he didn’t really have one. As a teenager, he always wanted to own a Hyundai Tucson, but it never really happened. Today he drives a versatile and practical Subaru XV, and he’s pretty content with that!
