Meet Susan, one of our talented Software Engineers here at Auxo – specifically our Front-End Lead. Susan has been part of the team since March 2023, and has almost hit her two-year milestone with us!
In a nutshell, Susan’s day mostly involves writing and reviewing code. She’s integral to reviewing new feature and enhancement requests and working out what is technically feasible. From there, she helps in planning and breaking down features into implementable chunks and prioritising where the team’s development efforts are focused. She also has a knack for firefighting the occasional bug and responding to any queries that come towards the dev team, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Susan strives to build software that functions seamlessly, is intuitive, easy-to-use and looks kind on the eyes! Front-End is her domain, so she gets all her job satisfaction from making the final product look as polished and pixel-perfect as possible.
Auxo Workshop is of course her pride and joy. She has been there since day-dot building it from the ground up with the dev team and is so proud to have seen it come to life and receive such great feedback from customers. If you like the way Auxo Workshop looks and how simple and easy it is to use, Susan has played a huge role in that!
Outside of work, Susan still loves to flex her coding and development muscles. She loves playing mobile games and has even designed and created a few games herself, like Game of Numbers and a tile match game. She’s always looking for new ideas and concepts to incorporate into a new game! Her other secret hobby is Karaoke – she mostly likes to perform at home, as karaoke bars are quite expensive, but if she’s on holiday you might catch her out and about singing Bruno Mars & Rose’s APT!
Of course, we had to ask her what her dream car is, and she replied that she doesn’t dream about new cars because she loves her current one; a bright orange Toyota C-HR. However, she also said that if she had all the money in the world, she wouldn’t turn her nose up at a McLaren!
